Sorry, but unless there are logs, it is almost impossible to tell what is the cause of the error.

I have successfully installed Mihalism Multi Host 5.0.2 on several servers so it seems a rouge bug for some users.

What hosting company do you use?

I have the same exact error, I tried it on my VPS and Dedicated server, no luck. Is there a PHP setting that we need to change or something? I tried installing the latest version.. :)

Without logs impossible to help.

Being that you are using a VPS and own your own server doesn't seem hard for you to provide them.

i have this error:

"
General Notice

Please ensure the folder images/ has the ability to be read and written to.
A good permission level is: 0777. Change the permission via SSH or FTP and try again.

Return to Previous Page"

ok i change the permission to the folder images(777) and i return to previous page and again push Finish. Then i have this error:

"PHP Fatal Error

The requested page could not be loaded because a fatal error has occurred.
Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page.
"

Ok i think to test on the free hosting maybe work and yes in free hosting works, no problems like i have on paid hosting.

The fatal error is caused by Mihalism Multi Host not having permission to write a config.php file to source/includes/ folder.

Thanks everyone who didn't provide logs for me to find the problem.

Line 30:
			if ($error_fileh = fopen(sprintf("%ssource/errorlog/php5/%s.log", ROOT_PATH, date("m-d-Y")), "ab")) {

Try setting permissions to 777 on the log folders and see if that works.

I couldn't install MMH v 5.0.2 but after replacing the installer file with this, I could. Someone should include this in the ZIP file :)

Wonder why the 5.0.2 does not contain the config.php file!!

Well, I downloaded the install.php supplied above and the install went well except that the config.php file could not be written to.

This was because there was no config.php file in /source/includes/ folder. To remedy this, I created a text document using WordPad and saved it as config.php. I then uploaded the empty file to /source/includes/ folder and chmod to 777 and the install finished beautifully.

Thanks to all those that added all the little bits of info necessary for me to go this route.
