Hi
Firstly I run a dedicated box with 12 Gig RAM and Intel® Core i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz, 8 cores
It has 1.5 Gig of disk space with about 800 gigs used
I have about (at any one time) 2200 Apache processors running which is making my server slow - I have tweaked apache to ridicualous levels trying to squeeze what I can out of it - but nothing (I have tried MPM Worker as well as Prefork) - I also installed Syn and DDos protection just in case!
I am about to install Munin to track server load but I am sure that it is the load that is causing significant connection losses and slow page loads
Is there anything I can do to "balance the load" or split the system between servers
Any help is appreciated
Cheers

What is your current and top load?
If apache load, you can use nginx as frontend and apache as backend. Setup this you will find on the internet.
Also can you give an screenshot for "top" command, for normal and top load?

Yep the normal usage of server is 0.10 - 5.10 but not 100 or more.
I see that your system use 99.9% of CPU, i think that somethink like ffmpeg use all CPU.
If you can provide me on PM the guest access to the server to i can view the TOP, i can say what to do!
Or you need to post TOP like the second picture.
Also i need the error log of apache.

The problem was gone, but some fix need to be apply.
Nginx improved my site slightly - but still have page time outs and a real lag
I have been told that there is a load balancing possibility with this script and to ask Michael for it.... is there such a thing and if so what is involved
My site has been down for a couple of weeks now - I am keen to see what can be done to make it work
Cheers
