4.0.0 to 5.0.2

where do I start - all help seems to start from 4.0.2 is there a away?

Hey Josh thanx have seen that however I have 4.0.0 or is it cool to use 4.0.2 and take it from there?

Those files should upgrade you from 4.0.2 to 5.0.0

Thanx Josh - to be clear I am on 4.0.0 not 4.0.2 does it matter?

I don't think it matters but I'm not 100% sure. Your best bet would be to make a backup of your files/mysql database and if the upgrade doesn't work then you can just restore both.
